The exhibition explores the nature of lens-based media through the artist’s unique and humorous perspective. He incorporates copies, replicas, gadgets, and gimmicks, and playfully incorporates elements of popular culture, banality, and everyday life such as desktop wallpapers, CCTV cameras, and stock video footage. With the artist’s keen understanding of global and regional art histories, the exhibition demands scrutiny to unpack the artist’s incisive and often sharp critique of contemporary culture. A catalogue accompanies the exhibition consisting of the lead essay, written by Chinar Shah.
