Sā, which means “soil” in the Ladakhi language, is a contemporary land art exhibition located at an altitude of 3600m in South Asia. The exhibition focuses on the themes of mountains, environment, culture, and community. In its first edition, Sā brings together Ladakhi, Indian, and international artists, as well as a collective of Ladakhi organizations, to explore the topics of community, culture, and environment.
Artists will express their personal interpretations of the questions mentioned through their works, which will be showcased in the form of installations. During the day, visitors can witness the installation works, while at night, the exhibition will feature video and light installations for a unique experience. The exhibition will be open to the public every day from August 2nd to August 22nd, and admission is free for all. Additionally, from August 12th to August 16th, a Mountain Biking Partner Event will be held at the venue. The event is also accompanied by workshops.
