About the Event

Art Fervour invites you to a special guided walkthrough of Jayasri Burman’s magnum opus solo exhibition, 'River of Faith' at Bikaner House, New Delhi.

Join us as she shares her motivations and fascinations with the mighty river Ganga weaving myth, folklore and unique compositions to colour this spectacular show.

About the Exhibition

Inspired by the myth and legends of the sacred River Ganga and its desecration in the aftermath of the pandemic, Jayasri Burman presents a soliloquy of hope in the form of her new magnum opus solo exhibition, 'River of Faith'.

About the Artist

Jayasri Burman is a celebrated contemporary Indian artist whose practice draws from folk art techniques like Kalighat and Patachitra paintings. She has been trained at the distinguished Kala Bhavana Institute of Fine Arts, and has received a Padma Award from the Indian Government.

Her work often features vivid portraits with elements from Hindu mythology, Bengali traditions and even explores the tropes of ‘Mother and Child’ seen in mystical forms through her practice.
